The Reverend Dwight W. Vogel is the retired professor of theology and ministry at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois, where he also directed the program in church music and conducted the seminary choir. Ordained in the United Methodist Church, he holds the PhD in theology from Boston University. For some years he taught liturgy at Garrett and is a leader in liturgical and sacramental renewal, chiefly through his work with the Order of St. Luke, a dispersed ecumenical religious order focused on sacramental and liturgical scholarship and practice, and on spiritual formation more generally. In retirement, Dr. Vogel lives at Pilgrim Place in Claremont.
